Fund raising is one of the ways in which band members can contribute to the costs of their attending Band Camp and the annual Band Trip. Participation in the fund raising events is 100% voluntary. The dates for each fund raising effort are established through district policy and must be strictly adhered to.
Each students’ individual account is credited with the profit from their fund raising; this information appears on statements sent home with the students prior to the due dates for Band Camp and Band Trip payments.
When participating in fund raisers, it is important that the student submit a single check, made payable to NADBP, which covers all of the revenue which they generated for the particular fundraiser. Individual checks from buyers should be made payable to either the student or parent, rather than to the NADBP. The check to NADBP should also include the name of the student, to ensure that the sales are credited properly. Cash collected by the student should also be accounted for in the check to NADBP.
NA fundraising is strictly scheduled & monitored by the district; it is important that all NA Band fundraising only be done during the clearly advertised scheduled dates (usually a 2 week period), and that “pre-selling” not take place. This helps to ensure that your neighbors are not being visited by crowds of NA students one-behind-the-other.
