January 8th: At District band, held at Chartiers Valley High School January 6-8, 2005, the following students auditioned into the Region 1 Band that will be held at Neshannock High School in February:

September 25 the North Allegheny Marching Band was awarded "Best Band Overall" in the City of Pittsburgh Columbus Day Parade and Italian Days festival. The band competed against 10 other area high school bands.

Awards

The North Allegheny High School Marching Band won best band overall in the City of Pittsburgh Veteran's Day Parade (Allegheny County Trophy). The band was also awarded the Best Patriotic Performance (Soldiers and Sailors Hall / Museum Trophy).

November 11: North Allegheny High School Marching Band won Best Overall Band in the Veteran’s Day Parade, as well as the Keystone Paralyzed Veteran’s of America Trophy which is awarded to the second place drill team. AND (the list goes on!) the VFW Medal for Band.

November 11: The following students were selected to perform with the District 1 Junior High Honors Band:

November 3: The following students auditioned into the District 1 West Honors Jazz Ensemble that will take place at Montour High School December 3 & 4, 2004:

October 1: Students auditioned into the PMEA District 1 Honors Band at Chartiers Valley on Monday evening. Over 600 students from Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland, Greene, and Fayette high schools auditioned for the band and 125 total musicians were selected. 12 were from North Allegheny which was the highest number of representatives from any of the districts participating.

The North Allegheny Marching Band is a proud representative of the North Allegheny School District and the surrounding communities including Bradford Woods Borough, Franklin Park Borough, Marshall Township and the Town of McCandless.  The nearly 300-member band regularly appears at school football games, local festivals and  parades, and at various holiday parades in downtown Pittsburgh where they have repeatedly earned top honors.
